Welcome to 3HE-Helium,
Just a regular day -my dad calls me- and asked me, if I’ve seen the documentary from the BBC about Helium-3 that day on the TV. Well I didn’t, but I looked at Google Video and searched for it.
I was amazed about all affords of Helium-3 and thought, people need to know this! That’s how this website is born. If everyone would know how great it would be if we are able to use Helium-3 as alternative fuel, this world would change dramatically!
To get more informed about Helium-3, we tried to get some information about this without getting too complicated for our readers. Also we embedded the documentary of the BBC to our website, so you can see it yourself too.
If you have seen all the information on this website about Helium-3, and also watched the documentary, you will think what will happen within a couple of years. We personally think, this can lead us to a big war, because all countries that are testing with this chemical know how precious Helium-3 is, and how much money it can produce it.
Like all other products in the world, people want to earn money from it, so also Helium-3.
One big problem, most of this Helium-3 is located on the Moon, and the Moon is not a country, so everybody should be able to use this, without saying they have to only rights to get it from the Moon. This could be the major problem, and we hoop due this website, people will think better before starting a war about this.
We hope, that countries will work together to find a good way to use this Helium-3, so this will save our Planet in a good way.
Finish Line: Helium 3
These international efforts have been looking for potential spots on the moon where human bases can be built. They are also looking for the feasibility of mining the moon for Helium-3. Helium 3 is an isotope of helium which can be used for nuclear fusion. Unlike what we have been doing today, fusion which combines atoms can make use of Helium 3 as our ideal source of energy.
Helium-3 is also available on earth but on a very limited quantity. Its abundance on the surface of the moon is a different picture. The amount is unimaginable since the lunar surface is exposed to the solar winds which bring the helium-3 from the sun.
Nuclear fusion might be far from being a usable technology for us but it is good that we are seeing preparations to harness what we have on the moon. Ten thousand years of electricity from the helium-3 we have on the moon is no joke. It will be a good news, way better than the depleting fossil fuel sources we have here on earth.
